During this time of the year, boundless paddy fields with a mix of green and yellow, a sign that harvest time for the summer-autumn crop is near, make an extraordinary landscape, especially when viewed from above, in Vietnam’s Mekong Delta.
Visitors to An Giang Province are advised to admire this magnificent scenery from the peak of the famed Sam Mountain, the highest mountain in the delta.
The Sam Mountain is located nearly six kilometers to the west of Chau Doc City, with its peak standing at 284 meters above sea level.
Two Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper reporters have recently been to the summit of Sam Mountain and come home with a series of photos capturing the stunning beauty of the paddy fields during the transition from summer to fall.
